How to Get Grease off of Cabinets With White Vinegar

One option you have for cleaning kitchen cabinets is to use white vinegar and hot water. White vinegar is a natural cleaning product and has degreasing properties, making it perfect for cabinets. For cleaning kitchen cabinets, you want to measure a 50/50 mixture of vinegar and hot water and place it in a spray bottle.

You can spray the mixture directly onto the cabinets and let it sit for a few minutes. You want to dip a washcloth in warm water, squeezing most of the water out, and then use that to wipe the cabinets and remove the grease stains. If you find stains that are very stubborn, you can create a paste with vinegar and salt and use a toothbrush to scrub these out.

Cleaning Grease off of Cabinets With Dishwashing Liquid

If you prefer to use dishwashing liquid to remove grease from cabinets, you can do so, as well. You want to add a few drops of your favorite dishwashing soap to warm water. Dip a sponge into the mixture and squeeze the extra water out.

Following the grain of the wood, start scrubbing the grease off of the cabinets. For more stubborn stains, you can apply the soap directly onto the sponge and wipe over the stain again. You want to then rinse the sponge and repeat until you remove the stain.

To wipe off residue and dry the cabinets, you want to use a soft washcloth.

Cleaning Greasy Kitchen Cabinets With Lemon and Baking Soda

Baking soda and lemon are a power couple when it comes to cleaning stains. You want to create a solution of one part baking soda, two parts warm water, and the juice of one lemon. Place the solution in a spray bottle and spray it onto the cabinets.

Leave it on for 2 to 3 minutes and then use a soft sponge to scrub the grease away. You can rinse the sponge and repeat the process as many times as you need to. Afterward, use a clean and dry cloth to dry the cabinets.
